Nova Counseling releases Cultural Diversity Test including Racial Attitude Test.
Recently reviewed in Mental Measurements Yearbook 16th Edition the test is designed for educators and corporations that might be the target of racial or gender discrimination lawsuits. The 1991 Civil Rights Act allows lawyers who prevail in employment bias cases to double their usual hourly rates and sometimes more.
Nova Counseling Associates Inc has developed a test that can evaluate a variety of bias (racial, ethnic, gender, religious and more). Beyond preventing discrimination and lawsuits, Rundquist says testing can also be a defense if you are sued. Test results on file will show whether you had problems and, if so, what you did to correct them. In the May 1997 Management Smarts Section of Entrepreneur Jacquelyn Lynn wrote an article about this test.
Scores: Physical, Ego Strength (Dominance, Control, Anxiety, Ethics, General Social, On-the-Job), Social Distance, Casual Contact. Also Includes the Attributional Style Questionnaire, Attitudes Toward Diversity Scale, and the Discriminatory Response Questionnaire.
Two psychologists in California used the test for their graduate theses and tested thousands. The original research was done at the Institute for Social Research of the University of Michigan when Mr. Rundquist was a graduate student at a Michigan University.
